Still Alive?

I am most definatly. School started last month and completely drained my creativity pool dry. I've been getting strokes of genius lately due to listning to the Deftones, I believe, and i'm writing down all my ideas in a sacred word document which I will share with you in a momment. But first, I must introduce you to my new piece that I made last week, which was inspired by the Deftones' loud screaming and my new hair (pics soon). I always wanted to make something artsy, and I think this one cuts it. Some details:
-47 layers
-2 hours
-loads of fun
Photography

This one was taken at my parents' friends house. He owns a restaurant and makes delicious viener schnitzel. Please, no penis jokes. Also, you can bite me if you don't like the picture, I know it isin't nice, but your face isin't either. Happy? Good.

Remember the poster I made for Gnarls Barkley? Well, they sent me the limited edition vinyl of their hit track Smiley Faces. Pretty cool huh?

What what what!? They sent me 25 copies of the poster I made for the Gnarls Barkley contest. I am officially better than you.

I call this one "Get that flower off my lens!". It's really the only cool photo I took so far, so you can eat my ass if you don't like it. I already have an awesome concept which I will capture with my camera once I get to plan a date on a sunny day with my breakdancing chums. That's right, I said chums. Don't like it? Then zombies will eat your brain.

I know you didn't read what I wrote and just viewed the images. Assholes.

iScream

Here's another vector piece for you to chew on. I tried making his face 20 times, but I never liked the end result... I hate faces and faces hate me :@. Anyways, I was supposed to make him look like he was screaming, but I wasn't able to, rendering the title and the entire piece pointless. It's quite frustrating.

Layers: 23
Time: 1h30mins (not including the 3 hours I spent trying to make the face)

SHOOT!

I know, I know, sigs are lame, I agree. But I had a chance to enter a sig competition about soccer and practice my cellshading abilities. I also need some practicing if I want to go far in the big sig competition at MickM next monday! Damnit, i'm such a nerd =(
Sidenote: At-the-drive-in is loud

Blog Design

This is a blog design I made for a friend over at MickM.com. He wanted a real simple, easy on the eyes layout for his personal blog. He will be editing the header, hence why it's so bare... I don't know who will be coding it, hopefully it wont be me =/. I'm also glad I made another website, they feel good to make, even really simple ones.

Skittles War

The purples wouldn't turn down their music. The greens wouldn't stop parking their cars in the oranges' driveways. The oranges wouldn't shut their dogs up. The yellows wouldn't stop drag racing near the elementry school... What else do you expect other than a mass skittle war? Of course, the red skittle wanted to keep peace between the skittles. Clearly, it was not meant to be.

DAG

Hello again, sorry for not posting something in awhile, I've been working on two big project simutaniously. Moving along, I made this piece with my good friend Callum for a competition at the mickm.com forums. We had to make a logo for a fictional game company, and we came up with this. Although I did almost all the designing in this project, Callum came up with all the great ideas (and text). He is a very good photographer, may I add.
-time: about 3 hours
-layers: 42
-style: Vector, I suppose
EDIT: I won: Link

Radio

When I decided to make an antique radio, I pictured a nice, clean, sharp, simple and subtel radio. But when I look at it, I see deformed radio that wasn't made with care. I got lost making this, mainly because I didn't start from bottom to top like in my other works. I really don't enjoy this peice and I wasn't going to make a post for it but since this is just a pre-portfolio site, I figured I had to give you guys some crap. Here are some specs you can compare with my previous work so you can understand why it doesn't meet my standards:
-Time: 30 minutes
-Layers: 19
-Style: Black&White

EDIT1:
Yeah, I posted this thing way too fast. I fixed a few things so it looks better now, but i'll most likely add more detail later. You can view the old version here

Wee-ka Wee-ka Waaa

That's the sound of me pretending to be scratching on a turntable =/. Anyways, this is my most detailed household object i've made yet. I tried making a fridge after my television but it sucked too much, even for my pre-portfolio. I think I really screwed myself over, because I don't think I can make a peice better than this one in awhile... Anyways, I really enjoy this peice.

Layers: 50
Time: 3 hours
Style: Black&White, with some gradients.
EDIT:
-Changed the magenta background to white
-Made the middle of the LP smaller
-Corrected flaws is the legs
-Fixed a gradient
-Added title

Mmmm, Tee-Vee

Two graphics in one night? NOWAI! Well, sadly, I have nothing better to do. This old fashioned TV was created with the same techniques as my previous "Kick-Push" design. I really like this style, and I hope I can transform tons of household items into cool and simple designs like this one. They're fun to do, and I enjoy the outcome. I hope you do to!

Vector - J.r

Well, this little peice took me a hell of a lot of time. It's my first full body vector, and it took me about 10 hours to complete and perfect. Don't worry folks, I don't spend all my free time in front of my computer; this project had a one month lifespan. I'm actually quite proud I pulled through and finished this piece. I had to redo my face a couple of dozen times... I hope you like it!
